Job Description

They are seeking a seasoned HR & Admin Manager to lead the people operations and administrative functions. This role is designed for a strategic yet hands-on professional who thrives in the fast-paced environment of the construction industry and possesses a "boots-on-the-ground" approach to labor relations. You will be responsible for harmonizing a diverse workforce.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for unions; lead collective bargaining, grievance handling, and proactive conflict resolution to maintain uninterrupted site operations.
  • Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment for technical M&E and site-based roles, performance management, and career development.
  • Manage office facilities, procurement of office supplies, and the company’s fleet (including maintenance and driver management).
  • Ensure all HR and administrative activities strictly adhere to Nigerian Labor Laws and industry-specific safety/engineering regulations.
  • Provide high-level HR metrics and administrative cost reports to senior management.

     

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field (Professional certifications like CIPM or PHRi are a significant plus).
  • Minimum of 8 years of HR experience specifically within the construction or related heavy-industry field.
  • At least 5 years of proven experience maintaining industrial harmony within a unionized environment.
  • A proven track record of managing both HR and Administrative departments in a multinational or regional setting.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to manage complex logistics across multiple project sites.
