Role Description This is a full-time hybrid Financial Advisor role based in Lagos, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. The Financial Advisor will meet with clients to understand their financial goals, assess their current financial situation, and develop tailored plans covering savings, investments, insurance, and retirement. Daily responsibilities include analyzing financial data, recommending appropriate products and strategies, preparing proposals and reports, and following up to review and adjust plans as clients’ circumstances change. The role involves educating clients on financial options, monitoring market and regulatory developments, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing service. The Financial Advisor is also expected to support business development through networking, referrals, and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Finance and Financial Planning, with the ability to analyze client portfolios and develop comprehensive financial strategies.
- Practical experience in Investments and Retirement Planning, including assessing risk tolerance and recommending suitable investment and retirement products.
- Demonstrated capability in providing professional Financial Advisory services, with a focus on ethical, compliant, and client-centric guidance.
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFP, CFA, or local equivalents) are an advantage.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proven interpersonal skills, including active listening, empathy, and the ability to build trust with a diverse client base.
- Comfort with hybrid work arrangements, proficiency with digital productivity tools, and ability to manage time and priorities independently.
- Prior experience in financial services or advisory roles in Lagos or similar markets is preferred.
