About the job About This Role Lutheran World Relief (a Corus International organization) is recruiting a Finance and Administration Manager for its United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)-funded Traceability and Resilience in Agriculture and Cocoa Ecosystems (TRACE) Project based in Ikom, Cross River State. Reporting to the Finance and Administration Director,

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Financial Oversight & USG Compliance: Monitor field budgets and sub-office expenditure to ensure costs are allowable, allocable, and compliant with 2 CFR 200, local tax mandates, and Corus financial policies.
  • Sub-Grantee & Audit Management: Oversee sub-recipient financial monitoring, review sub-grantee fund requests, coordinate external and internal audits, and ensure all site financial records remain fully audit-ready.
  • Procurement & Administrative Leadership: Manage regional procurement, lease agreements, property/asset tracking, monthly payroll inputs, and site-level office administration.
  • Team Supervision & Capacity Building: Directly supervise the local Finance Assistant and Administration Officer while providing remote technical guidance to sub-office finance staff.

     

Requirements & Qualifications

 

  • Academic & Professional Credentials: Graduate degree (Master's or BAC +4 equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; formal professional accounting certification required.
  • Regulatory Expertise: In-depth working knowledge of US Government federal grant rules (OMB Guidance, 2 CFR 200), federal procurement guidelines, and Nigerian tax/labor laws.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in enterprise accounting software, database management, and financial reporting modules.
  • Core Competencies: Field team leadership, sub-award grant accounting, cost control, analytical problem-solving, and cross-cultural communication.
