Job Description

Principal Accountabilities           

Drafting pleadings and other legal documents

•           Preparing witnesses for court appearances

•           Communicating with clients throughout the litigation process to keep them informed about the status of their cases and any new developments

•           Drafting legal briefs and motions to be submitted to the court

•           Presenting cases in court by arguing facts and citing laws in support

•           Conducting research on legal issues associated with cases

•           Reviewing agreements and other documents

•           Proffer legal opinions and draft agreements with minimal supervision

•           Thorough knowledge and practical experience of procedural law and substantive law

•           Negotiating settlements.

•           Perform all other duties that are necessary and reasonably attached

to this legal position and the fulfilment of its responsibilities.

•           Any other responsibilities as assigned by the Principal/Learned Silk

 

Job Requirements/Qualifications

•           Bachelor’s Degree in Law

•           Nigerian Law School

•           Master's in Law will be an advantage

 

Experience

•           2-5 years general legal practice
