Job Description

We are currently seeking to recruit a Payroll Officer for our Limerick office. This position encompasses a range of duties associated with the broader service offering in a busy recruitment agency. Candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to work under pressure, on their own initiative and as part of a team.

 

Salary offered will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

  • Processing multiple payrolls across all frequencies
  • Collating timesheets, holiday entitlements, reconciling hours on a weekly basis
  • Co-ordination of timesheets processing and management of the Time & Attendance including all absences.
  • Coordinating new hire set ups, leavers, time and attendance entries, as well as various other payroll transactions and adjustments
  • Provide direct customer service to employees with high quality, professional and timely responses to queries
  • Processing of all statutory payments in line with prevailing legislation
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, payroll processes, pensions, BIK and other additions and deductions
  • Ensure compliance with Irish Revenue requirements and all statutory obligations (PAYE Modernisation, AE, PRSI, USC, pensions, etc.)
  • Conduct periodic payroll reviews and quality checks to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) / Reporting
  • High level of accuracy, strong attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Time Management - ability to meet strict, recurring deadlines.
  • Communication - strong interpersonal skills

Key Skills & Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a payroll position
  • IPASS qualification (or currently undertaking) essential.
  • Understanding of payroll software
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple client deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
  • Discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
  • Strong attention to detail even when multitasking
  • Ability to organise shifting priorities and work to tight deadlines
