Job Description
We are currently seeking to recruit a Payroll Officer for our Limerick office. This position encompasses a range of duties associated with the broader service offering in a busy recruitment agency. Candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to work under pressure, on their own initiative and as part of a team.
Salary offered will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Key Accountabilities:
- Processing multiple payrolls across all frequencies
- Collating timesheets, holiday entitlements, reconciling hours on a weekly basis
- Co-ordination of timesheets processing and management of the Time & Attendance including all absences.
- Coordinating new hire set ups, leavers, time and attendance entries, as well as various other payroll transactions and adjustments
- Provide direct customer service to employees with high quality, professional and timely responses to queries
- Processing of all statutory payments in line with prevailing legislation
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, payroll processes, pensions, BIK and other additions and deductions
- Ensure compliance with Irish Revenue requirements and all statutory obligations (PAYE Modernisation, AE, PRSI, USC, pensions, etc.)
- Conduct periodic payroll reviews and quality checks to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) / Reporting
- High level of accuracy, strong attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Time Management - ability to meet strict, recurring deadlines.
- Communication - strong interpersonal skills

Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a payroll position
- IPASS qualification (or currently undertaking) essential.
- Understanding of payroll software
- Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills.
- Proven ability to handle multiple client deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
- Discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
- Strong attention to detail even when multitasking
- Ability to organise shifting priorities and work to tight deadlines
