Job Description

MAIA is a wellness brand built on one conviction: that most wellness culture makes people feel worse, not better. We make the Mindful Intentions Journal, a psychology-backed guided workbook for women who are done with surface-level self-care and we're building an app and community platform to go deeper.

What this role is

We need someone who thinks hard about why content works, is comfortable killing ideas that aren't landing, and has the instinct to find the angle that makes someone stop scrolling.

You'll be working directly with the founder to build MAIA's organic presence from a small base. That means iterating fast, being honest when something isn't working, and caring more about traction than output.

What you’ll own

· Social content execution (primarily Instagram/TikTok/Pinterest): turning ideas into consistent, on-brand posts and short-form video

· Edit founder-filmed video content into polished, high-retention videos

· Manage and grow comment engagement after posting

· Track weekly analytics and tell us what the data actually means

· Bring new content angles and ideas proactively

Who we’re looking for

· You can watch a video with 300 views and diagnose the problem

· You edit your own videos or consume enough content that you've developed real instincts about pacing, cuts and hooks

· You're comfortable saying "this angle is dead" and moving on rather than iterating on something that was never going to work

· You care about what actually drives sales, not just what looks good in a content calendar

· You have opinions. You push back. You're not waiting to be told what to do.

This role isn’t right for you if:

✗ Your strongest skill is scheduling and organisation

✗ You default to "more content" when something isn't performing

✗ You've never thought about why a hook works

The details

· 3-month internship with the potential to turn into a paid opportunity

· Approx. 10–12 hours per week, flexible around your schedule

· Fully remote — async-first with one short weekly check-in

· Direct access to the founder

· As MAIA grows, this role grows. We're transparent about that from day one.

How to apply

  • What's one wellness content angle that's oversaturated right now, and what would you do instead?
  • What are you working on or learning about outside of work that has nothing to do with social media?

Pay: £1.00 per year
