Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The duties of the Critical Infrastructure Market Vertical Manager include:
- Assumes responsibility and leadership for all activities for the Data Center/Switchgear Market Vertical.
- Responsible for developing and implementing the Data Center/Switchgear Market Vertical penetration plan.
- Leads and Manages the Critical Infrastructure Market Vertical Team.
- Responsible for generating leads through his/her own contacts and research, networking, trade shows, industry events, and referrals.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and quotes.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to secure new business.
- Identifies and analyzes customer preferences to properly direct sales efforts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including contractors, engineers, and facility managers.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their technical requirements and provide tailored solutions.
- Reviews and analyzes market and sales data reports; uses data to project sales,and identify targets.
- Collaborates with executive leadership to develop sales quotas and strategies.
- Will work with both Product and Commercial Marketing on outreach to OEM’s/Panel Shops, Contractors and Specifying Engineering Companies that focus on the Data Center/Switchgear Market Vertical
- Acts as Company representative at trade association meetings.
- Keeps management informed of project status and key issues in a timely manner.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies as appropriate.
- Keeps current with industry insights, current c3controls’ product mixes, monitors competition by gathering current relevant marketplace intelligence including information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
- Partners with internal resources to accomplish growth objectives. Establishes and maintains clear and consistent lines of communication with internal departments relative to customer successes, customer opportunities, new customer developments and other customer specific information.
Education & Work Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Business Administration, or a related field, or comparable record of sales/sales management performance.
- A minimum of 5 years of sales and/or sales management experience and proven success within the Critical Infrastructure Market Vertical with 10 years preferred.
- Experience Selling into Key Players in the Critical Infrastructure Market such as Amazon, Google, Facebook, Alphabet, etc as well as working with Contractors and Specifying Engineering firms that work with these companies is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with G-Suite or related software.
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization.
- Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management.
- Must have excellent organizational, written and oral communication, listening and presentation skills.
- Self-starter; self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting; operates with a sense of urgency; ability to work and succeed independently.
Supervisory Responsibility
- This position does have supervisory responsibilities.
Working Conditions
- This position is remote.
Travel
Frequent travel (15-30%) is necessary to customer locations, conferences, seminars, etc.
Position This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday.
