Structural Engineer

Responsibilities

• Work in close collaboration with the Principal Engineer for design
• Oversee various design aspects and report to the Principal Engineer
• Model, Coordinate , and Review components for compliance with design.
• At times drafting may be required to help meet deadlines
• Primarily designing in RISA, IdeaStatica, Solidworks, & COMPRESS
• Drafting in Solidworks however, Revit knowledge is a plus

• Knowledge of design and drafting for industrial applications
• Understanding of fluidity of Engineering

Requirements

• Experience in RISA design is essential including Static FEA knowledge.
• Solidworks design experience is highly preferred.
• Detail shop fabrication level design and drafting.
• Designing welded & bolted components in addition to foundation design.
• Knowledge of OSHA, AWS, AISC, and ASCE 7 required
• Knowledge of IBC, IRC, MHI, CMAA, ABS preferred.
• Bachelors of Science in Structural, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering required.
• Will consider other engineering degrees with baseline structural competency.
• 3 year Experience Minimum. Will consider Masters in Engineering or MS in Engineering Field as 1 year experience.
• EIT required. PE is preferred.
• RISA and Ideastatica experience is a must.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $42.00 - $50.00 per hour
