Remote Travel Agent

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to understand their travel preferences, needs, and budgets to create tailored travel itineraries.
• Utilize reservation systems and global distribution systems (GDS) to book flights, hotels, car rentals, and other travel arrangements efficiently.
• Provide expert advice on travel destinations, accommodations, activities, and transportation options to enhance client satisfaction.
• Manage all aspects of travel scheduling, including coordinating multiple bookings and ensuring seamless connections.
• Communicate proactively with clients through various channels to confirm reservations, answer questions, and offer support before, during, and after trips.
• Maintain organized records of client interactions, bookings, and preferences to ensure personalized service for future trips.
• Stay informed about the latest trends in the travel industry and updates within reservation systems to deliver current and accurate recommendations.

Experience

• Proven experience working in a remote sales environment or customer service role within the travel industry.
• Strong knowledge of travel planning processes and reservation systems such as Sabre, Amadeus, or Galileo.
• Familiarity with hotel operations and hospitality standards to provide insightful recommendations.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple bookings simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Exceptional client communication skills—friendly, clear, professional—and a passion for delivering outstanding service.
• Experience with travel scheduling and coordinating complex itineraries across various destinations.
• Prior experience in sales or reservation systems is highly desirable to maximize efficiency and client satisfaction.
