Litigation Associate – North Carolina

Required Qualification

An active North Carolina Bar license is required. Candidates who are not currently licensed to practice law in North Carolina will not be considered.

Responsibilities

• Serve as attorney of record in active litigation matters
• Attend court hearings and conduct depositions
• Work closely with the Chief Legal Officer to develop case strategy
• Assist with both defending claims and proactively pursuing litigation
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents
• Communicate with opposing counsel, witnesses, vendors, and other parties
• Manage assigned matters independently while meeting deadlines and maintaining strong attention to detail
• Travel within North Carolina and occasionally outside the state for hearings, depositions, and other litigation-related matters

Qualifications

• Active license to practice law in North Carolina
• Two to five years of litigation experience preferred
• Strong interest in developing trial, deposition, and courtroom skills
• Experience in insurance defense, automobile claims, personal injury litigation, or another high-volume litigation environment is preferred
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced, and highly accountable environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Confidence representing the company in hearings, depositions, and negotiations
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple active matters

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
