Job Description

Role Description: The Data Analyst Tutor role is a remote contract position focused on supporting learners as they develop practical data analysis skills.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

Delivering live or recorded lessons, guiding learners through data projects, and explaining core concepts such as data cleaning, visualization, and basic statistics in accessible terms. The tutor will review assignments, provide constructive feedback, and help learners connect theory to real-world data use cases.

The role also involves collaborating with the Ed3hub team to refine learning materials, suggest improvements to course content, and track learner progress to ensure a clear path from learning to opportunity.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess core data analysis skills, such as working with spreadsheets or databases, performing data cleaning, and creating clear reports or dashboards.
  • Candidates should possess skills in data visualization and basic statistical analysis, including the ability to interpret trends and communicate insights to non-technical audiences.
  • Candidates should possess strong teaching, mentoring, or coaching skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts simply and provide supportive, actionable feedback.
  • Candidates should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create clear documentation, lesson notes, or learning resources.
  • Candidates should possess solid organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple learners, sessions, and deadlines in a remote environment.
  • Experience with common data tools (such as Excel/Google Sheets, SQL, or BI tools) is beneficial, as is familiarity with online learning platforms or virtual classroom tools.
  • A background in data analytics, statistics, or a related field—through formal education, professional experience, or equivalent practical experience—is preferred.
  • Commitment to inclusive, learner-centered teaching and an interest in helping individuals connect digital skills to real-world opportunities are highly valued.
