JOB SUMMARY

The Media Operations Officer is responsible for the end-to-end operational management of Nimbus Media's Out-of-Home (OOH) advertising assets. The role sits at the intersection of technical field operations and content management - ensuring that client campaigns are displayed accurately, that media assets are in optimal working condition, and that all operational activities are documented and reported in a timely manner. This officer is a key point of accountability for the physical and digital quality of Nimbus Media's media estate.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Field Operations

· Conduct regular site visits and physical inspections of all OOH and DOOH media assets to verify functionality, structural integrity, and display quality.

· Identify, log, and escalate technical faults or structural issues on billboards, LED screens, and other media assets promptly.

· Coordinate and supervise maintenance and repair activities carried out by internal technicians or third-party contractors, ensuring work is completed to standard and on schedule.

· Manage the installation and removal of static OOH materials (flex, vinyl, print) in line with approved campaign timelines.

· Monitor and maintain power supply systems, including backup power and electrical connections for digital screens.

· Ensure that all site-related safety protocols are observed during installation, maintenance, and inspection activities.

· Maintain an accurate and up-to-date Media Asset Register, capturing the status, location, condition, and maintenance history of all assets.

Content Management & DOOH Operations

· Upload, schedule, and manage client campaign content across DOOH screens using the content management system (CMS), ensuring accuracy, resolution, and timing compliance.

· Verify that all campaign content is displayed correctly on the correct screens, at the correct times, and in line with the client's booking specifications.

· Monitor live DOOH screens remotely and/or on-site to identify and resolve display errors, content glitches, or scheduling conflicts in real time.

· Liaise with the Sales & Marketing team to obtain approved campaign assets and ensure timely content readiness ahead of campaign go-live dates.

· Maintain an organised digital library of all client campaign files, including versioning and approval records.

· Generate proof-of-play reports and screen performance logs as required for client reporting and campaign verification.

· Escalate content-related queries from clients or internal teams to the relevant supervisor or account owner.

Vendor & Contractor Coordination

· Source and obtain quotes from vendors and contractors for routine maintenance, emergency repairs, and asset upgrades.

· Track vendor work orders and ensure all jobs are completed within agreed timelines and to the required standard before sign-off.

· Maintain vendor records, invoices, and service documentation for finance reconciliation and compliance purposes.

Reporting & Documentation

· Prepare and submit weekly field operations reports, covering site visits conducted, faults identified and resolved, campaigns live, and any outstanding issues.

· Maintain a site visit log with photographs, GPS location data, and condition notes for all assets inspected.

· Contribute to monthly operations reports compiled by the Operations & Media Supervisor.

· Flag any compliance, permit, or regulatory matters identified during field visits for immediate management attention.

Anticipated Outcomes from the Role

· All OOH assets are maintained in optimal working condition with zero avoidable downtime.

· Client campaigns go live on time, display correctly, and are supported by accurate proof-of-play documentation.

· Technical faults and content issues are identified and resolved within agreed response timeframes.

· The Media Asset Register is current, accurate, and audit-ready at all times.

· Vendor relationships are well-managed, with all work orders tracked and properly documented.

· Operations reports are submitted consistently and on time, giving management a clear picture of asset and campaign performance.

Collaboration and Workflow

  • 1. Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure creative alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • 2. Manage multiple design projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • 3. Maintain organized design files and version control for all projects.

Key Performance Indicators [KPIs]

  • Timeliness and accuracy of campaign installations.
  • Quality and completeness of proof-of-performance reports.
  • Accuracy of media inventory and site database updates.
  • Vendor responsiveness and job completion timelines.
  • Compliance with regulatory and safety requirements.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION, AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Mass Communication, Marketing, or related field.
  • 1 – 3 years of experience in media operations, OOH advertising, field maintenance, or a related technical or media role. Entry-level candidates with strong technical aptitude and relevant internship experience will be considered.
  • Strong attention to detail - errors on live client campaigns are visible to the public
  • Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision
  • Proactive problem-solving; identifies and escalates issues before they become client complaints
  • Good communication skills for internal coordination and client-facing interactions
  • Physical fitness and willingness to conduct field work in varying weather and site conditions
  • High level of integrity in handling client assets and company property

SKILLS AND COMPETENCY

  • Familiarity with digital content management systems (CMS) for screen scheduling
  • Basic understanding of LED/LCD display technology and electrical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret basic technical schematics or site drawings
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) for reporting and documentation
  • Basic photography and visual documentation skills for site reporting

Pay: ₦200,000.00 - ₦250,000.00 per month
